From a press conference on February 9, the foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a promotion event for Yunnan on February 17. In the meanwhile, Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs will attend the event and to give a speech.

It is known that this event will be held in the Blue Room on the 17th. Along with Mr. Wang Yi’s promotion on Yunnan’s unique appeal, Yunnan will become the focus of the world. Mr. Chen Hao, Secretary of CPC Yunnan Province and Mr. Ruan Chengfa, Governor of the People's Government of Yunnan will give speeches and presentations. Attendees include representatives from Diplomatic Corps and international organisation, experts and scholars from both home and abroad and media reporters. 

According to the schedule, a Yunnan-themed show will be presented first, and then Mr. Wang Yi will give a speech. Following is a speech given by Mr. Chen Hao, Mr. Ruan Chengfa and representatives. At the end of the event, a buffet reception containing authentic Yunnan cuisine will be served. 

Since 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affaires has held a series of promotion events. And this time is the 6th promotion event held by the Ministry of Foreign Affaires, which is also the first one since 2017.
