Xiaoshuijing of Fumin County
Located in Yongding Town of Fumin County in the north of Kuming, Xiaoshuijing has been known for its Farmers Choir. Featured as Miao ethnic culture, Xiaoshuijing will be the symbolic eco project of Kunming which is propelling its urbanization at full tilt.

Wengding Wa Ethnic Village
Wengding, which means "connected rivers" in the dialect of the Wa ethnic group, is a Wa village 30 kilometers away from Cangyuan county seat. Wengding Village has kept primitive Wa residential architectures and ethnic culture. It has been the best-conserved primitive ethnic community and the must-see tourist site in Lincang Municipality. 

Some people say that everything related to the Wengding stockade village is the museum of the Wa history and culture. Wengding is like the epitome of the Awa Mountain, recording the ancient history and present situation of Wa Mountain. The ox head, ox head pile, village gate, shala house, wooden drum house, village pile, folk house, forest of mast and other things in the village are parts of the museum. Every building and each scenery in Wengding are parts of its history, which tell people the stories of Wa people.

Gingko Village of Tengchong
Yinxing Village, or Gingko Village, is well-known for its natural sceneries, because there are more than 3,000 gingko tress in the village, and many of them are enjoying a history of500 years. These cherished centennial gingko trees decorate the unique village. People call it "a village built in a forest, and a forest scatted in a village."

You can see some boulevards in the village. Two gingko trees on the east of the village are the oldest and called "mother of gingko". The two trees are full of fruit with luxuriant foliage. Villagers care about the two trees very much and regard them as treasure of the village.

Tips

Several inns and rural home inns in the village offer accommodation. But it costs a lot to eat there, so please make sure to bargain beforehand.

How to get there:

Flight: the daily direct flight from Kunming to Tengchong County
Driving line: Kunming--Dali--Baoshan--Lujiangba (Expressway)
Ruili--Yingjiang--Lianghe--Tengchong (Asphalt Road). It is about 40 km from Tengchong to Gingko Village.

Zhengying Village of Shiping County
Zhengying Village, regarded as "the first village of Yunnan," is located in Shiping County, Yunnan. It is famous for numerous cultural relics and a great deal of old wells, bridges, scriptures, monuments and trees. It also features many ancestral halls, such as Zheng Ancestral Hall, Wu Ancestral Hall and Chen Ancestral Hall. 
 
Located about 10 kilometers west of Shiping County in Yunnan province, Zhengying used to be a city besieged by walls on the four sides. Fences were used as gates on four directions. A two-floor fort barbette was built on the southwest of the village. Today the walls and fort barbette are gone, but some ancestral temples are still remained.
